ECU Reset Help ASAP

How do I reset the ECU.. And how does it reprogram after it is reset.. help asap.. thanks

Perhaps an explanation of what you are trying to accomplish by resetting the ecu will enable people to respond more accurately. Are you in the process of a reflash?

You don't even need to leave it unhooked for that long. Just take both pos and neg terminals off and touch them together.

ok? I've always pulled the IOD fuses... clears MIL every time.

There is a lot of residual power left from misc. capacitors in the car. Not a good idea to short the two terminals. To clear the set/learned parameters in the computer you only need to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. 15 minutes to drain the caps for the SRS.

what happens if pull that little green box that reads "ECU" lol out of the fuse box?

You'll have no headlights, wipers, or washer sprayers. (Disabling the SWS)
