Evoscan: Custom Display Gauge Layout
I am having troubles creating a custom display gauge layout for my evo x. I can't get it to display the info i want. I am having difficulties using the editing program. The default layout gauges dont display the perameters i want and is also displaying some useless gauges. So guys help me out!
Show off and upload your Evoscan custom/modified display gauge layout for your evo X!

check my sig out... beware the 80s background music. I'll PM you the files later... cuz they are on another PC and have to go soon. I agree though, it took me days to edit mine as the gauge editing software is very buggy and hard to work on.
Here are my custom gauge layout files. Extract them to your Evoscan folders according to the (filesame).zip. After extraction, open the gauge layout called "EvoX". Enjoy!
If anyone can figure out how to change the values of the gauge scales, I'd love to know about it. The gauge scales seem to stick at 0-255 =X
And oh, make sure you selected "Mode23 USA EvoX" under ECU before you open the custom layout.

I'll post another youtube vid in daylight when I can... the wiring looks a little messy right now, but my X is no showcar lol (it's a baby hauler after all) so I guess it won't be that embarassing.

Did you just buy one of those car mounts that attaches to the seat to hold your laptop tip?
I'm looking for something but dont want it to be huge or annoying. How is the passenger room with one of those in?

Passenger room is fine... it will obstruct his view a little bit, but it depends on where you mount it. That's the reason why I used an 8.9" AcerOne since I had one laying around and it's smaller than the other netbooks. The carmount is Kit#101 from http://www.easylaptopmounts.com
Here's my thread on the ghetto setup:

I use XP's hibernate on all shutdown events so the laptop retains the gauge layout without having to relaunch everything... then all I have to do is use the hotkey to reconnect to the ECU and everything starts working again... logging and the virtual gauges.

Took another vid just this afternoon. Later part of the vid shows how the mount is bolted to the floor. I usually pull the passenger seat forward to further support the stand since my wife rides on the backseat with our baby. Just making sure the thing doesn't flop down during hard accelerations since I used smaller bolts.

Have a new Custom Gauge Display Layout, someone from the Evo8/9 forums originally created this... so I decided to play with it today:
http://www.screentoaster.com/watch/s...ode23_gauges_i
Files:
Extract to your Evoscan Folder... then open GaugeLayout "EvoX_slider". Make sure you specify Mode23 Evo X.
Note: Coolant changes color depending on temperature range: Blue (cold), Green (normal), Orange/Red (hot)
Enjoy!
