i only remember the vague details, but it was something along the lines of you don't need a 3-port on the x because the stock 2x2 is already very good. that could also mean he doesn't like tuning 3-port, but take it for what you will.

and whoever that said the wga isn't necessary for the stock turbo, you're correct. a pill and a tune would do the job just as well, and cheaper no less. but if upgrading to a higher flow stock frame turbo when the stock one craps out is in the cards, the wga is a good long term investment.
