Pulling and Clearing Codes

I am wondering how I can pull and clear check engine lights. I have ECU Flash and Evoscan 2.5 with the 2.7 beta patch. Never used Evoscan before. I have a CEL on and want to read what it is. Well I know what it is. Changed the wheels and the new tpms sensors arent programmed yet. But I want to know how to pull the code and do it now while I have a code to pull.
I've clicked display DTC which I think pulls codes from the car but nothing shows. Anyone got and help or tips on how to pull check engine lights?

You can buy a handheld obd2 code reader at the auto parts store for 50 bucks and up. They come as fancy as your budget. Get one that goesnt just give you the code, but tells you what it is. When your evo is dead and gone, you will still have a code reader that will work on all your other cars. Yes, they reset the codes too.

Just buy the cheapest OBD-II reader you can find. For cheapness sake, I suppose I'd recommend Ebay or something, but really, they all do the same damn thing.

Since we can use ecuflash and evoscan on the computer I rather get a program then have to carry around two pieces of equipment.
I searched and found scantool.net sells a few programs that can read codes and do a few other cool things. Was hoping someone knew a frew program. haha.
