Help with zietronix software not logging but evoscan working
GOT IT ALL FIGURED OUT!! NOW FOR THE EVOSCAN STUFF post 3
Hi,
i just want you to know that this is my first evo. came from the honda world btw. i do pretty much myself in terms of everything. so i got my 2010 evo x 3 weeks ago. now i already have almost 3k miles on it so i started modding:
parts:
megan tp and cbe
aem intake
zietronix wb
and other parts are coming..anyways, i've done some research in tuning this evo..
i've downloaded the 55570005.xml file and using the evo10base.xml came from the default of ecuflash..i wasn't able to make use GST's evo10base because i'm not seeing the mivec maps using the evo10base.xml file here:
http://norcalmotorsports.org/users/b...ch/2010_evo10/
i did the mode23 stuff and followed the sticky..thanks to newcomer81 btw..
anyways, i installed the zietronix wb using this wiring info from link below + RRE ecu wiring diagram found in the link below too:
got this info here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...onix-help.html
red: Pin 82 Power supply
Black: Pin 81 ECM Ground
Gray: Pin 10 Throttle Position Sensor (Main)
Green: Pin 4 No. 1 ignition coil
yellow, brown, and orange: in the map sensor

help zietronix!!
by the way, after installing it and tested it, seems to display correct values for the zr2 gauge the afr and boost seems to be correct...
the one i highlighted in red, i'm not really sure of. i played with the "Engine Cylinder Number" inputted 2, 4, 8, etc none of them worked. so i'm clueless now what to enter to make the ZDL to work..
btw, i tested and ran the evoscan and it worked..values seems to be correct..see screenshot below..

i noticed that the input and outputs in evoscan are few only, not sure why it's like that. I might have the wrong xml file maybe? I don't see the 2-byte load and others. I used in the "Select ECU:" the mode 23 2010 US evo x. I tried the "Mode 23 USA EVOX". When i tried that it seems to be off. TPS seems to be off, etc etc..
***UPDATE:
i added some items in the "Data.xml" in evoscan..and i'll give it a shot so that i could at least datalog in evoscan..it looks like the ZTX boost is tallying with the zr2 boost gauge..but the ztx rpm and tps is off..Anyways, need your inputs here. THANKS!

Connect the Zt-2 RPM input green wire to the one of the coil drivers (pin 4). You can adjust cylinder number in the ZDL software to compensate for missing tach pulses.
Do not need to connect the brown wire as long as you have a good solid ground to the ECU ground. Use 18 gauge wire for the black wire ground if you need to extend it to the engine bay.
Use quick disconnect for a start. Solder later.
As always be very careful. The Zt-2 inputs are well protected from miswiring but the ECU not always is. Do not short anything at the ECU. There is no reset button on the hardware electronics

^^ thanks for your input.. i found the culprit behind zietronix datalogger..
i thought i had the latest software in my tuning laptop..which is version 2.0.18 which is the latest on their website...i went back to the cd and it's now version 3.0.1 now its working great!!
now my concern is about the evoscan reading for zietronix...
hi tephra need your help..
by the way, for the 55570005 what do you use for the datalogging? is it just the standard load? or the 2-byte load? If it is the 2-byte i think i have the wrong xml. Let me know. Thanks.
