Have you CLEARED the code, ever?

The P2096, according to EvoXForums, relates directly to the secondary O2 sensor, the one you have a spacer in.

The spacer might simply not be enough. I could never get the CEL to go off with my test pipe, so I just ignore it. It's hit or miss with these cars; sometimes the spacers work, sometimes they don't. The generic "too lean" is misleading in this case.

I'd just ignore it, or try a different spacer; the angled ones work well sometimes too.

well i was able to take off the cel for the mean time .. right now 4 a day .. by just taking of my really dirty perrin drop-in and kinda re-arrange the wiring of the o2 sensor ..

im still waiting when cel will come back ... bt 4 the mean the annoying cel is out bt im expecting thou ..
im thinking of buying diff brand of drop-in or going straight 4 sri or cai.. so that i only need a tune...

I'm getting it too. I know it sounds crazy, but I swear the car feels slower when it is present, so I try to clear it out whenever possible. Silly Jedi mind tricks...

(edit: also running test pipe w/ "cel fix", and what a good job that fix is doing I might add)

if its referring to the rear o2 sensor, then try a different/longer/angled CEL fix.

just my 0.02

P0140 - Heated oxygen sensor (rear) circuit no activity detected

its your CEL delete. take a picture of it and post it. or like i said, get a different CEL delete on your tp.
