Engine Tune?
Engine Tune?
Hi guys,
I recently installed a Turbo XS turboback exhaust system and a ETS intake system. I live in NM so I dont have as many great tuning opportunities. Just wondering what you suggest. There is a local shop that has an awd dyno now, but they havent worked on an EVO X yet. I think they'd do a fine job, but not sure if I should do something like that or buy a product online from say AMS? Thanks for any suggestions!

Not always. You may be dealing with a shop that has no experience with tuning a dual mivec system (such as the difference between 8/9 & X's) and you are essentially the guinea pig. The remote tuning options from various well known tuners are a better option as long as you have an AFR gauge that allows logging and a tactrix cable. They can send you a safe tune and have you run it and log everything, then ship them the logs and they will update the tune... rinse and repeat till done.
