I just got my tactrix cable.. and for now, ALL I WANT TO DO IS MONITOR KNOCK. So, will enabling mode 23 make any difference for me?

Anyway,

so i've done some reading through the threads and am still a bit unsure about what to do. I've got the tactrix cable, downloaded the required software. However, I my ECU ID ends in 0020. Do I still do the same steps and write back into the XML file that ends in 0015?

if someone could help me i'd really appreciate it.

 

you don't need mode23 to monitor knock. either way, all the instructions are in the mode23 thread... since you are 0020, you need to use the 0015-0020 instructions

 

You Read your ROM with EcuFlash. Change settings. Flash ROM back.
