Boost pressure COBB stage 1

Has anyone looked at the boost they get when running Cobb stage 1 ots maps?

According to the map notes, it's 24psi tapering to 17 psi. I just did a few pulls today and the most I see consistently was 20ish psi, maybe spikes to 21. It's really hot here, so that may have something to do with it. I just think its strange the car isn't making what is in Cobb's map notes.

Any reason to be concerned? Like I said, it's been mid to high 80's here, and very humid as well.

I would be more worried about it going higher, but interested to her what you find out.

Have a look through the cobb logs that people have posted on the forums. You should be able to get an idea from them.

How are you putting a load on the motor? Which gear did you check in? This will affect boost pressure.

I know it's sounds crazy, are you sure the map is loaded? When I first got my AP, way back, I thought I flashed the stage 1 map; only to realise it was their "stock" style map. When I confirmed the boost, I said, "This can't be right!" Checked the AP and found I loaded the wrong map.

If you are indeed running the correct stage 1 map, try again tonight when things cool down. Some folks have tightened up the WGA.

Im definitely running the stage one 1.07 map. Just did a few pulls in 5th from 3k to 7k and the max i saw was 20ish psi with spikes to just under 22. Is everyone else who runs the stage one ots maps getting proper boost figures according to the m
ap notes?

Look on the COBB on line dyno database. Here is a randomly selected stage 1 car link:

I also recently loaded 1.07 map and only hit 22lbs. A few other guys on here have said the same thing before also.

maybe try doing a full 3rd gear pull, cuz i'm sure that's the gear they use when making these maps. also every car is different, i would consider the ots maps more like a base map than a real tune. if you want to see the real #'s go get on the rollers

I was only hitting around 22-23 on the stage one maps. Now I've moved on to the stage 2 + AMS intake map and am dead on the amount of boost in the notes, and make plenty of power. There's nothing wrong. It's perfectly normal to not quite be hitting that 24 psi mark. Most people I've talked to have been right around the 22 psi area. You're just like everyone else

Cobb usually gives a +- rating on the boost for each flash like 1 or 2 psi. I would not be worried about lower boost but watch for over boosting...depending on how bat it is, problems could arise, I believe they have maps specifically for people over boosting.
