Leaking BOV perhaps? Have you tried logging at a lower boost pressure to see if still there?

We were thinking it is either a leaky BOV OR he is still using the stock UICP rubber hose, it might be swelling and contracting causing these weird fluctuations.

Hey guys,
I created this to do some quick BOV testing. I am no BOV expert, but believe this to be a valid test.
I ensured the BOV nipple see's the same pressure as the bottom of the valve.
Anyone see any errors in this logic?

A word of caution has been recieved about the possibility of the PVC exploding if tested to full pressure (30psi).
I am currently looking into a way to to test without plastic shards penetrating my skin.
I was thinking of using some sort of box to put in while testing...
On a side note, I ordered a UR UICP, so we will see if that resolves the load fluctautions as well.

I would think that would have more of a smoothing effect than a sharpening effect. The swelling of the hose in the short term would be in-line with pressure fluctuations...Originally Posted by Clipse3GT

Well, we'll see what the UICP will do...should be here soon Originally Posted by fostytou

Update : SOLVED!
First off, thanks to Jon of Cobb for steering me in the right direction, he was spot on with his analysis.
I tried testing the BOV, cleaning the MAF, different air filters, installing a UICP and nothing seemed to get rid of the fluctuations.
Adjusting the "MAP" tables to more closely match actual load seems to have solved the issue. If not solved it.... it has masked it.
Here are two logs, both on the same day taken hours apart.
Before adjusting the MAP table:

After adjusting the MAP table:

I would also like to thank Tephra and Bryan for making the definitions available and correcting my scaling. Also thanks go to Kris, if he wasn't bald before, he probably is now:bowlol:
Jon/Bryan/Tephra,
I do have a few questions though....
1. I notice that my MAP tables were stock before, so how come this isn't a more frequent issue on these boards?
2. By adjusting the MAP table to reflect actual load, does this in anyway affect any of my logs to which some of the metrics would be inaccurate?
3. Is there any side effects from making this adjustment? In my case the car feels exactly the same, just much smoother load logs:godance:
Thanks again everybody!

Sure thing guys. Love to share
Disclaimer: This worked for my car..might not work for yours. Hell it may blow your car up. Use at your own risk
I only changed the last column on the right from 5k-8k to match my actual load.

Interesting! So its probably just following this instead of jumping between it and one of the other 2 values that tephra pointed out in his thread.
