Oh no, my gpsnav isn't perminstalled. It would make the car too busy looking :O hehe Besides we have to plug and unplug the openport / BT adaptor anyway to avoid battery drain, so plugging in the phone is a no brainer and then it is just one less thing to mess about with. And I plug in my phone to power everytime I get in the car too [shrug].

So you're telling me no mode23-4-android?

I've had this for a while now. It's pretty cool. You can read codes and do all sorts of stuff. I just bought my bluetooth obdII from ebay for like 20 bucks from china and it works great with the torque app. It's great to have because it doesn't cost that much

Do you think it will work with this?

This looks interesting. According to the video at CES 2011:

This product will also be available for android devices.

Both devices are a USB B or "receive" device. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that works.... The phone might be able to act as a USB host though.

Hi tsi, I have done another 4 weeks work on this, mostly daily... I have been nit picking over every single debug exception, i hate apps that crash, bluetooth needs a little bit of hand holding. I have added better error handling, and added better bluetooth scan support. The project has lost some people that were giving it inspiration, but since you are back tsi, I will work on it more often.

I feel privledged

I am here to test it an any capacity you need. I currently run Android 2.32 with a rooted room from Pete, but I can run whatever version of android you want me to.

I have the original droid 1 and I am looking to upgrade in the next 1-3 months, probably to the thunderbolt.

I also currently use "Torque" and a cheap chineese BT OBDII adapter to clear CEL's and such. That's much easier than breaking out the laptop.

Also, not to go off topic, but last August i ocntacted you about implemented a AYC bleeding actuator into evoscan. Have you attempted or made any progress on this?

My car is way past this maintenance and is crying for help
