Question stock solenold connector

Hello 3-port guys,

I have a 08 jdm EvoX GSR and I just bought a tactrix 3-port with evo harness. It reached safely 2 days earlier. (I was surprised there ware no papers at all. Which port has which role? Which port should connect to where? No informations at all!! OMG! |o|)

Today, I tried to connect the power connector but I couldn't.
The harness which tactrix sent to me was not fit to my car's brown power plug(for bworn stock solenoid) shape. Perhaps I took any mistake but I want to confirm that the usdm connector has exactly same shape. Thank you.
-> I could. It's my fault that I connected incorrectly. CEL eliminated.

Here is the 08jdm brown power plug for brown(active) solenoid:

Here is the 08jdm stock brown(active) solenoid:

the tactrix cable/harness needs to be slightly modified.

you will see that there is a plastic tab that prevents it from inserting in either the black or brown plug....

I think its the brown plug you need, but not 100%!

just set both reactive to 50% and the passive to 0%, you should be able to tell straight away if you got the wrong plug

tephra,

Thanks to the info. I shaved the prominence of the harness. It fits well now.

Thanks to you, I'll be able to tune the active wgdc tables next Sunday.

good job!

you know to start low and work upwards right?

ie depending what actuator you have start with 50% (or lower for a higher bar actuator) and do a run to make sure you dont overboost...

and zero out passive (until you are 100% sure the 3port is not connected to the wrong connector)

tephra,

>you know to start low and work upwards right?
Yes, I've read Golden's thread and he gave me the same advice for protect my motor from overboost. Thank you.

>and zero out passive (until you are 100% sure the 3port is not connected to the wrong connector)
I did that and the active solenoid works well.
