Issues With the Cobb Tune

I have the full stage 3 perrin set up intercooler/piping, turboback, stage 3 flash and i was having some really big issues with the flash and running really rich and sputtering when i stepped on it and so i dropped it down to the stage 2 and it does it still just not as bad. So if anyone has this issue let me know or if you know a possible way to solve it let me know.

What happens is i step on it and when it boosts the turbo spools but then feels like it back fires and jumps and looses power and blackish smoke pours out the exhaust and then the asc light comes on

please help

Have you replaced your fuel pump relay?
have you tried to see if you have a boost leak?
have you run a low wastegate map?
Have you run a data log?

If you would like some help i suggest emailing either PERRIN (where you got your stuff)
or someone @ COBB Tuning...... Like me...... :-D

Has the car always done this on this tune, or did it work fine before and now it isn't?

i havent checked or bothered with the relay because the relay only affects it in a lean way but with the smoke and sputter and dark plugs im rich, i havent done a data log yet but i will be doing one so i can shoot an email out to you guys and see what you think, boost leaks werent found either and for the most part since the stage 3 was set up it did it but back on stock it doesnt

Are you running Cobb's or Perrin's map? Details, details, and more details.

You do need to "bother" yourself with the fuel pump relay.

You can shake it and if something sounds loose then you know it's bad, but I recommend just replacing it and not having to worry about it. Also be sure to zip-tie your FPR vacuum line since that coming loose is another common problem area.

Do you have an aftermarket air filter or are you still using the stock airbox with stock paper filter?

Try a LWG shelf map that most matches your set up. I can't recall what the perrin intake set up is, but if I recall it uses the stock maf housing. If this is the case, then either a stock airbox stage 2 or a COBB SF intake stage 2 would be pretty close.
