Is it only when you're filling up with fuel, or does it ever happen on other "short" stops of similar duration? Have you ever replaced the factory relay? If you have an 08 (not sure about 09+) there's no reason to not have done that already. There are ample threads and discussion about it.

Also check your MAF sensor. My car decided to not start one day and it turned out to be that. Swapped it with my friend's MAF and fired right up after going through the trouble of checking for spark and fuel. It also started having trouble starting up before that every now and then where it would want to stall at idle until I give it some gas to stabilize it.

Multiple threads on fuel pump relay. You should take care of this immediately, even if it isn't your source of issue on this particular problem. At least take it out of the equation.

Besides this... what sort of programming upgrades are you running?

Before I got rid of my Evo X, I had the same problem, ended up in a mitsu dealer in Salt Lake City Utah with a dead starter

I'm assuming you have aftermarket injectors. Make sure your startup injector pulse width tables are tuned properly also.

Only warmed up engine, but doesn't do it all the time, only when the car feels like doing it
