Worth it for a protune with current mods?

So I currently am running a Perrin TBE, AGP intake, and I will be installing my ETS UICP as soon as it arrives, all with the Cobb AP.

From the information I have gathered many people have not gained a significant amount over the stage 2 OTS maps with a protune with similar mods. Some say you may pick up 5whp and a bit smoother powerband, others say you may get 10whp etc, etc.

My question to you guys is do you think I should get a protune now, or wait until I get full bolt-ons(FMIC, LICP I need) which will be over the next few months.

Will be going Green/DOM2 after winter anyways, but will be driving full bolt-ons until then.

Thanks guys

I personally get a new protune with every round of mods I do, but I'm **** like that. It all depends if that increased power and peace of mind is worth it to you. Typical gains from what I've seen are smoother powerband, increased midrange, quicker spool, and +15-25whp/tq peak.

See my problem is I'd rather not spend $350 twice this summer on tunes. Since I will be getting the FMIC and UICP probably sometime around august. You say 15whp, ehh? Thats higher than I normally hear, not doubting it, just something I'm thinking about.

Having sat on an old tune with new mods in the past I'm a big fan of getting the new tune upon installation of the new mods. Truth is you never really know what kind of harm you may be doing living on the old tune...of course you could always hold off on the installation of the new parts until the arrival of the FMIC. Don't waste your money on the LICP.
