gas mileage after tuning
They are almost all AP guys... and those maps don't have either of those.
And besides... people always say, "the stock map is pig rich, a tune will get you better mileage". I was trying to point out that the only advantage they will see is at WOT.

Agreed.
so the ap doesn't really fine tune much, except for when your in WOT. In other words, the MPG would either be the same while cruising, and on WOT worse. AP's dont affect the MIVEC, just the boost and fuel trims and lets the computer make the rest of the decisions?
Cruise timing can make a very big difference in gas mileage, especially if you take advantage of that even more and change your driving habits. However, these ARE evo's we're talking about... not Civics.
now i have done a search on this but i have not really found an answer to my question. i am new as an evo owner, but have been working for mitsubishi for a while now. i previously owned a 2010 hyundai genesis coupe 2.0T track, which i had tuned to 298 rwhp and 310 rwtq on 93 octane. now before i tuned the car i was averaging about 23 mpg combined city and highway. after it was about 27.6 mpg. i was wondering, to those who have run say, the access port stage 1 if there was a decrease or increase in fuel mileage. i appreciate the feedback
