gas mileage after tuning

They are almost all AP guys... and those maps don't have either of those.


And besides... people always say, "the stock map is pig rich, a tune will get you better mileage". I was trying to point out that the only advantage they will see is at WOT.

so the ap doesn't really fine tune much, except for when your in WOT. In other words, the MPG would either be the same while cruising, and on WOT worse. AP's dont affect the MIVEC, just the boost and fuel trims and lets the computer make the rest of the decisions?

The AP does change MIVEC. Not sure how much in the cruise area. Cruise timing and, beings you are in closed loop, cruise afr are untouched.

Cruise timing can make a very big difference in gas mileage, especially if you take advantage of that even more and change your driving habits. However, these ARE evo's we're talking about... not Civics.
