I scheduled a dyno visit for 9/2 at http://www.synaptic3.com/. They suggested installing an upgraded boost controller solenoid ($100) that reacts faster/better, and the tune/dyno is going to cost ($500) flat rate. Compared to the last car i dyno tuned this is very expensive. The tune for my last car was $200 but i also bought my SCT-X2 through the shop. Every visit after that cost $100 an hour. I had a total of 6 hours of tuning after that.

Too bad i wont have the whole exhaust installed by the 2nd, but this should fix the problem.

 

$500 sounds really expensive for a tune...

Why not get the entire exhaust on before the tune?

 

valid question. im currently dealing with a kidney stone problem, and doing the work myself just isnt going to happen right now. I always do my own work. the rest of the exhaust hasnt even been ordered yet, because im not 100% decided on what to do.

im also considering a dp, and testpipe no cat route.

im not happy about driving the car tuned the way it is. and i really dont like the little black spots all over the car plus i know im wasting fuel.

 

$500 for one tune is pretty crazy though...
