it's definitely an excellent choice for people like you who don't have any local talented tuners. We do remote tunes around the world every day for this reason.
Email tunes are awesome but like everyone says, make sure you have a wideband that's LOG-ABLE in your chosen logging software. I made the mistake of not doing any research before buying a wideband and had issues plus I think the tuner was about to pull his hair out. Fortunately, some very nice person modified my logging software to read my wb
prices don't mean anything in this case. research/read reviews/look at the dyno section and get an idea what the persons capable of. I haven't started offering anything to evo X's personally but will be soon and my pricing structure is very competitive.
RedEvoxGSR - I would recommend the ecuflash and a logger cable personally. But in the end its up to you.

Email tunes are nice and convenient especially if you live somewhere far from a reputable tuner. Email tunes however in my experience are never as good as an in person tune, plus you spend a lot of time emailing back and forth to get things smoothed out.
I'm specifically looking for a tune that's legal for autocross in Street Touring, and therefore keeps the stock boost map. Does anyone have a tune like that available?

That's me. There are guys in my area who tune Evos, but they would have little experience with Evolution X.

Mivec may mess with boost. They usually test to see if it is still "stock" by seeing how much boost you pull.
One could just use the 2011 Mivec tables and hope they think it's still the "stock boost" system.
Or... You can tune the car with Tephra mods and race on the Alt-maps and swap over to a stock map if they come around to test your car.

we're worth it
the quality of our email tune is exactly the same as the road tune thus the price is the same. Both are very reasonably priced for the amount of time and effort that I put into each tune to get them perfect. If you want to spend 10-40k to buy your EVO, then spend thousands on mods only to then skimp on the tune that's up to you.
