0-5v logging evoscan
Is it possible to log a 0-5v signal with evoscan and OP2? Can you assign it and set a scale to it? Say you wanted to log a wideband?
I want to log my afr but I hate digital gauges...I was happy to find out AEM makes an analog UEGO but the damn thing doesn't have a serial out like the digital...only 0-5V
I've seen that you can log it using the ECU but this is something I would like to avoid...
These may seem like dumb questions but I have neither evoscan or a tactrix cable yet so I don't exactly know how the software works...

edit: I was wrong in my original reply
the way you do this is find a spare ADC (or one for a sensor you don't need... I think their is a fuel related one most people use) and then that is loggable via evoscan. there's a howto somewhere I believe.

Your talking on the ECU? I knew that already and I'm not super excited over that idea...
I was wondering if it was possible to do something like these guys did: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...0-pin-8-a.html
which is sending the signal directly to a free pin on the OP2 (not the ECU)...but then they logged it with the standalone logging function of the OP2..while I was wondering if it was possible to do it with evoscan instead
my guess is no since I would think they of done that instead in their thread but no harm in asking

Hi lapoune, interesting idea. it is possible that the speaker jack on the op2 can in fact record 0-5v, but I havn't implemented it in EvoScan. I could do it for you if you like.. just PM with your skype address.
Alternatively I have some DLP io8 USB devices products page on my website that can do 0-5v inputs to evoscan.
or you can wire the analogue input to the spare ADC pins on the back of your stock ECU. there is plenty of guides around to do this option.
