Check engine light on w/ weird information warning on screen
My 2010 Evo MR got the following symptoms today and I thought it would have been towed in a cool evening on a street.
Parked my car ready to go dinner... car stopped, and I went out and was trying to lock it by my FAST key. Car didn't respond. I at first thought that maybe mobile phone in my pocket was too close to the FAST key so interference disturb. I then tried to press the "lock" button for a few times on my FAST key, still no response.
Then decided to sit back and attempted to turn on the engine. It clicked but no crank. No crank as like battery died that kind. Sooner after, series of warning messages like doors opened (all), close hood, engine overheating stop safely, transmission overheating slow down.. etc came up on the information screen. Turned key off, then on, still no hope, engine couldn't start.
I then phoned roadside assistance and tried to ask for help... as soon as I was connected, the guy on the phone verified some info and up to the odometer reading, I turned key and read it to him. While still on the phone, I tried to turn car on and it cranked and car started.
After all, car ran fine, drove home with engine light on. Planning to drop by a dealership tomorrow or Monday depends on their availability to check her.
Anyone else experienced this? I will provide update as soon as I have some.

That random list of CEL/etc sounds like what happens when you put it into programming mode, which is strange.
My FAST key gets disassociated every time I have to change the batter (really annoying). I have to pay the dealer to reprogram now since it is out of warranty. It will unlock the doors from the handle and start, but the buttons on the remote do nothing.

Hi,
I experienced a similar situation - I drove my car, afer I stopped I could not crank anymore. (While driving I had my laptop on mu knees). I thought it has to do with battery or ECU, but after a lot of checks I found out the FAST died during driving - I suspect my laptop to have a lot to do with it, as I have problems with my FAST keys while having my laptop near the chip.
I had to buy a new one FAST and everyting works fine since (about 3 years).
