Hey everyone,
Has anyone heard of Pure Tuning in Ohio? I'm planning on having them install some parts on my 2013 WW GSR and was wondering if you guys have had any experience with them.
Following Clipse AKA Kris's advice, I'm planning on installing my ETS intake, UICP, test pipe, and CBE, along with having Kris tune my car afterwards.
I'm torn between saving money without a CBE or buying and installing a CBE
Anyways, any reviews of this place would be great. I'm coming from Detroit, so if anyone has a better shop in mind that could install the parts, please do recommend.

what about Buschur Racing they are located in Norwalk a stone throw away from Toledo?

 

Buschur won't tune an EBC, which is what I would like to use.

 

Just get an etune from Jon at 5150 racing (aka bakaunchi) or hollywood. You will get a far better/safer tune with one of these guys.

 

He wont tune on EBC - did you call and ask him about this?

 

I ended up getting the parts put on by Matt @ Slick Motorsports and getting a tune from Clipse3gt. Regardless, thanks for the help everyone!

 

I called him a few weeks ago and I quote, "I won't touch it unless it has a MBC"

 

My GSR is at Pure right now. I've known Keith for 6 or 7 years. Good people, good tuner.

He's installing: HKS 8262, HKS DP, and HKS F-Con for me.
Then we tune. Then it's off to PRI!

 

When I called and talked to Buschur, I was also surprised to hear that they won't tune an EBCS. I don't think I have ever run into that before. Really looks like I'll be driving back to Chicago from my new spot in Ohio for re-tunes.

 

I would recommend getting tuned by clipse3gt from these forums, check out my dyno results, his tunes are wicked and thus far safe! PM me if you've got any questions, he's based out of Cleveland.

 

Dont go to pure tuning! After they built and tuned four engines of mine that were all mild performance, and most blew up within a couple hundred miles of being tuned after properly broken in per Keith and Aaron's directive, after the fourth engine blew up, I took it somewhere else and took it apart only too find out that the $500 for machining my engine 20 over, never happened. They stole my money and never delivered what I paid for as well as couldn't build my engine well enough to roll down the road.
