Break down of the car, before i tore it apart to do a custom kit it ran perfect no issues. Now the car (2008 evo gsr) Is complete but i cant seem to figure out a issue im having so im asking for some help. Ill PAY, whatever it takes im this far and don't want to give up.

Issue im having is a installed a complete custom kit, with 4inch intake i bought a 4inch weld on maf plate.. Well got it all together and try to start it and it runs for a few seconds and dies. I cannot keep it running even with my foot to the floor on the gas pedal. BUT as soon as i unplug the maf it runs and idle just fine. I did some reading and have a tractrix 2.0 so my buddy helped my put the maf to the max so it reads off the map sensor and we were going to tune it that way. Well as soon as i plug in the maf it still dies. Ive tried 2 different mafs already. Please any help would be greatly appreciated i will even paypal whoever for help lol.

tial 50mm recirc bov
4inch intake

rest is stock. i just wanted to get it running, then i was going to put a bigger fuel setup.

You need to scale the maf for the 4 inch inlet . Lots of threads on how to do this. If you choose to run map then most likely you will still have to adjust

We did scale the maf. Still would die.
Also de pined the power wire and signal wire back to ecm and put a resistor and it would still die

 

Do you have a wideband on it ? If so does it go lean before it dies ?

 

Yes have a plx hooked up. if I have the maf plugged in the car starts idles high. then shuts immediately off.
