DLPIO8 Evo Scan 2.9 RAX

I have a DLP IO8 all hooked up and working.

In Evo Scan 2.9 I can log from it when I have open port 1.3 radio button selected and a tick mark next to DLP8Analog. Values are reported correctly and match my AFR data after conversion.

I have copied the DLP8Analog line from Mitsubishi MUTII EFI.xml to Mitsubishi EvoX Mode23 RAX Patch.xml, but when I attempt to start logging I receive the following error message:

Error: Conversion from string "&HDL" to type 'Integer' is not valid.
Info: Datalogger Ended.

My best guess is that the request ID of DLPIO8 is not getting translated correctly when using openport2.0 vs 1.3.

I have tried configuring the DLPIO8 to return hex instead of ascii but it breaks at the same place.

any help would be greatly appreciated. If I get this up an working Ill do a nice write up

It Works

In case any one cares, I got this working (kind of).

There seems to be something buggy in Evoscan, but I have a consistent work around.

I'll do a full write up this weekend, but for now, here is what I found.

After copying the DLPIO8 analog line from the EFI.XML to the RAX.xml. I kept getting the error shown in post 1. To fix this I had to uncheck all logged parameters except the DLPIO8. This created a successful log. Re-checked/enabled all the other parameters and now EVERYTHING is logging.

The other issue I have found is that I can not change the Eval formula for the DLP. Whether its set to x (measures volts) or (x*2.375)+7.3125 (formula to convert to AFR) it always records just x/volts in the log. The solution here is to just add another column in the log and use excel to do the conversion.

This method is logging about 10x faster than standalone logging to tactrix SD card and involves no modification to your cars wiring/O2 sensor.
