Just bought Evo 2015 and would like to know
What is the best cold air intake
And
The best cat back exhaust but not to loud.
I would like ear the turbo wase gate et let breath the engine.

You will get a lot of opinions on this but Look at AMS, AGP cold air intake not sure who else has CAI... ETS, MAP, COBB, Depo Racing, Ultimate Racing and others have a short ram... For CBE its your opinion of Dual or Single Exit. I prefer single myself...I cant say there is a better CBE then the other. A lot of people love the Tomei, just make sure its 3in and would suggest looking at you tube videos to get idea of a bunch of exhaust systems how they sound..

 

Forgot to mention also...


the warranty concern.. would talk to your local dealer to see if they are Mod friendly or you will end up having to keep going back to stock.


P.S. Some intakes do require a tune to operate correctly and What I was told by my Mitsu dealer is the ECU has a signature # in the stock software that if you tune it they can tell and void warranty

I would do some searching on the forum, many people have already asked these exact questions. Cold air is not a priority with the EVO X, in most cases aftermarket makes it worse. Check out this post as a good start:

AMS INTAKE now we can ear the sound when the air goes in and the blow off valve also more noise.
Exhaust flow master cat back just enough noise.

 

From the general concensus: If you get an intake, you will need to get your car tuned. But generally speaking, tune=void warranty.

Cat-back exhaust is not a problem.
