how much timing r u guys running?

how much timing r u guys running?

First let me say I searched but didn't find what I was looking far.

OK I'm new to the evo. I did a log today and noticed 14 degrees timing @7500rpm, so is that normal?

guess what im looking far is, what r ysll running for timing
List mods and type of fuel used please


here's mine

93 octane tune
Tbe, fmic and hard pipes, intake with k&n filter, fuel pump and injectors, dom 2.0, kelford cams, not sure what else since I Baugh the car like this

Are you experiencing knock? Some cars like more timing than others. I had to back my Evo 8 down to about 11 degrees in order to be knock free at that rpm. The above links should be a good reference point.

Thanks for the links, guess I suck at searching lol

no knock, was just trying to see whats normal for these cars, also trying to know what yall getting away with on meth. Hell on my last car i was running 35 degrees on meth

If its not knocking its fine.

It is important to note that since it is tuned, the tuner may have played with knock filtering, and you need to also be watching knock voltage, not just knock count or knock sum. I know on the 8/9 you don't really want much over 2.0 volts for knock voltage...
