ETS Intake

So I installed a ETS Intake on my 2011 Evo X. I drove it for about a few days with no a/c then on my day off my wife and kids were with me and she turned on the a/c and it started to idle funny. It would drop and go back to normal and repeat. Eventually I got a CEL. I want to re-install it bc of what I've been reading they say no tune necessary. I've seen some say that if you get a CEL keep driving it and it will go away. What are you guys opinions?

Yeah...I would recommend buying an AP, They say you may be able to run that intake without updating the map, but I don't trust that.

As soon as I turn on the a/c it starts to idle funny. Idles jumpy, low like it's gonna stall and back up. It repeats.

ETS Intake

That's because it's sucking in heat from the AC fan. Put the heat shield in or out the stock intake back on...

Why can't you install the shield? Feel free to send me a couple pictures to sales@extremeturbosystems.com and I will help you out. The shield will solve all your problems

Thanks!
