service light on after COBB AP install

Hello

Just wanted to know if anybody has any problem with the AP after install. Just installed mine on my 08 gsr with injen intake and made the calibration on the intake also. Soon after installing i hear a whining sound on the intake like a supercharger. Is this normal? Also made two quick pulls right away an noticed the check engine light when on for an instant around 6-6500 rpm. Code reader says ecu but no description. Anybody??? I am a noob so any help would be appreciated. BUT!! gotta love the instant power made. Boost was there till almost redline!!! Thanks

What map are you running? Did you calibrate it yourself? Any other mods? Or just the intake?

Only have hks cbe and the injen uicp. Yeah i did calibrate the the intake map per cobb's intake calibration sheet. Had about 11 knock sum and boost is only hitting bout 18. So the map that intake i calibrated is the one that i used. Im a suppose to use another one with it? Thanks

does the AP flash the CEL on knock? if you have a knock sum of 11 that would explain it. that's quite a bit.

Yes something is wrong. Call or email Cobb tomorrow and give them a list of all your mods. Ask them to email you a map. They should send it to you within the hour.

Really?they can email you a map with the type of mod you have. Didnt know that... Why not preload those on the accessport anyways. Im thinking that i made a mistake on the calibration thats why im having all those knock and engine light flashes.

You should be boosting around 25-27psi. I can't remember the acceptable knock count. Might want to run a search. I usually see 1-2 max while spirited driving or the occasional track day.

for me, acceptable is 0. On longer, hot track days i may see 1 here and there. my tuner is very good at making sure i have no knock and everything is super safe.

Update? Where you able to get the map you needed? Cobb normally has great customer service.

Hey, so i sent over a couple of logs to michael at cobb. He went over it and said everything is fine. Though he said that he saw the knock it is also ok. ( dunno about that) as far as the engine light goes, he said " as long as the code reader does not describe anything i am perfectly fine. Boost fuel and others are within parameters." Should i be concern???? In the meantime i uninstalled the AP. I was gonna do a pull tomorrow morning on my way to work as he said early to give him another data but he just email me looking over the other and said everything is fine..what u guys think??? Really concern about that engine light as my honda pilot's engine light when on and after a few miles blew a plug!!! Its going to cost me a new engine $$$$!!!
