Evo x engine build
Alright to start i own a 2008 EVO X GSR with 44k miles on it.
Im looking for suggestions on engine build ideas because I do drive the car alot the car yet it is highly modified and I want the car to last me as long as possible and it is also my show car. I am not sure what should be upgraded or changed. Any information is appreciated.
Mod list:
AMS intake/maf housing
Cobb Accesport
Clutch masters fx400 clutch
clutch masters flywheel
FP RED series turbo
Walbro 400 fuel pump
injectordynamics 1000cc injectors
Kelford 214c Cams
Kelford valve springs
Custom open dump pipes
Custom 3' test pipe
Greddy ti C 3' catback
Hawk hp pads
Works stainless steel braided brake lines
Mishimoto oil catch cans
AMS EVO IX metal clutch master cylinder conversion
AMS Steel clutch line
Nisie one piece UICP
Buscher racing LICP
Perrin Big intercooler
Cobb 3 port
Works Shifter bushings in trans.
Works shifter bushing on shift assembly.
Cobb Boost control
Ohlins S3 R&T coilovers (i know not neccesary for info)
Cusco front and rear strut tow braces
Power- tuned to 487whp and 376lbs/ft torque.
kept torque low to not stress the block and im not looking to be the fastest evo. current power is more than enough at this point im just looking to keep the engine in great condition and decrease the worries. Also trans will be rebuilt and center diff upgraded by Shepard's Trans when engine built in progress. Again i know its a lot of info but id rather do it all right the first time. any info appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For future mods I would suggest a solid front motor mount. Made a world of positive difference to me. Larger injectors.
If you're keeping the FP red why not just drive it until compression suffers or you throw a rod? You've got low miles and rebuilds always have risk of not being as dependable as oem. Or if you want to build an engine, maybe build one on a stand in your garage from an eBay core or used block?
