will my evo need a tune?
so i blew my old engine and i had it tuned by english racing and i got a new motor swap didn’t change any of the bolts on they stayed the same do i need to get a new tune or will i be fine with my old tune ?

No 2 engines will run exactly the same even if they are built to same spec. the tune could be safe enough that it's ok but why risk it? Re-tunes are usually half the cost of a full tune as well so should only be a couple hundred bucks for the piece of mind knowing the tune is good.

If you are using the same parts, chances are you are good to drive on it as long as you stay out of boost. You aren't using the same oil cooler correct?
When you get into boost is when you will start to see differences and will need a retune. English Racing tunes are rather solid so I would think that the engine failed due to other factors.
