Tune for E85/91

New to the EVO scene. I just picked up a 2013 GSR with supporting E85 mods. It is tuned currently for 91. I am wondering does the stock ECU support a tune for both fuels? From what I have read so far once I put E85 in my sensor should pick it up and my ecu should adjust. This sounds a bit off to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Evo X doesn't have flexfuel from the factory. I do believe that the ECU can support tune switching where both maps are in the ECU and then you switch them with like a gas pedal or something.

There are flexfuel setups for stock ECU evo Xs and this is the route I would personally suggest but it will add a gauge and a cost some as well.

I have the E85 sensor, intake, exhaust, injectors, fuel pump, BOV and it is open sourced tuned. I was hoping that from what i read with it just sensing the E85 and switching automatically.

O you have a sensor and gauge then? I would say that your best bet is to have someone read out the tune and look it over to figure out if it is tuned for flex fuel then.

Do you know who did the previous tune? Might be able to even reach out to them and get an answer.

I have a tuner set up. The previous tune was from Rickerman tuning in Colorado springs. Already spoke with him to find out. He did say that it was tuned but currently is tuned for 91.

Ok, perfect. Then you have your answer. You should look over the ethanol sensor setup and make sure that is all ready for your new tuner but then you should be able to get a flexfuel setup which is great. I have flexfuel on my 9 and I wouldn't do it any other way.

This entire forum is a treasure trove of information. Even if a shop or other entity performs the work or tune, you should seek to understand how the Evo X platform is so capable of being changed to meet the needs of the owner. It really is impressive.
All the information is in this forum about what works and what doesn't for things like flex fuel updates to the Evo X.

So I am having major troubles finding a tactrix cable for this to be tuned. Are there other ways of getting this tuned without the tactrix?

Oh I see, that didn't occur to me. Aren't they creating an updated version soon? I have not been on the market for the cable.
