My Walbro is silent as a mouse.. I also verified flow and pressure and its doing everything it's supposed to be.. I guess I got a good one...

I had a walbro on my ix and you could hear it very well. Guess you did get lucky.

Just FYI, Shiv from Vishnu mentioned in his write up that the X motor keeps making power even after knock is sensed, where the 4G would have moved to the knock map and pulled timing.

Hi Eric! Great parts there! When are we going to see some dyno numbers using the parts (each piece compared to the stock piece, not all together)? Also, I thought you guys were taking the car to the track this weekend? or maybe that was AGP..

We will be doing back to back dyno tests on our all our parts to show you real world gains just as we have done with all AMS parts.

Right now we are sitting with about 5 inches of snow on the ground in chicago so I don't think we will have time to make it to the track anytime soon.

I'm not sure but I do know a walbro won't work in the X, it just won't fit in the housing.

Actually that's untrue. AGP was able to "convert" a Walbro to fit in the X. They did that because they're in the middle of upgrading to a 20g compressor wheel on the stock turbo.

Well you can make it fit but it i wouldn't call it a drop in. So to clarify, no you can't just drop it in. If you really want to make it fit you can do some work on the pump or housing to make it work. The walbro is too large in OD, it's also longer than the X pump. You can grind or ream the housing out make it fit or turn down the walbro steel casing.

This is for Martin or Eric. By the naked eye do the IX and X fuel pumps have the same clip or is the clip different? I know the question was asked, but I too would buy a X pump over a walbro 255 if it would drop into my VIII. I have the IX fuel pump now, but I was wondering if you guys could obviously tell right off the bat wether it looked different or not and or if you could post up pics of them side-by-side? Thanks guys and keep up the ever amazing work.

I believe the electrical connector is the same. Doing an Evo X pump in an VIII is a definate possibility.
