How did it compare to the prototype on the dyno?

Two weeks from today, on Feb 27, will be the one year anniversary of this thread.

This pipe must be something special!

We didn't re-dyno. It replaced the original prototype with the final sample piece before production starts.

You guys need to realize that they are at the will of the foundry. I talked with Tim and he's just as sick of waiting as everyone on here. The 02's are being made now, and AMS is waiting to receive them, they look GREAT and I think will be a very reliable, safe part that'll make great power forever. There won't be any issues with heat or cracking, this thing is gonna be solid....and CLEANNNNnnnnn

Soon enough

I got a lot more definite time frame, but I don't feel I should take their glory and will let them announce when its coming out.

OK the million dollar question; How soon do you expect to go into production Eric? I've been waiting for the AMS downpipe for my X and would like to have one ASAP!

It's unfortunate because they like to act like this thread doesn't exist. You know at least one of the many AMS employees are on the boards daily. Instead of giving us info on this, and the dual exhaust that many are waiting for look where their priorities are...a rehash of their FMIC?! A part that many of us have already purchased from them. Talk about being loyal to your customer base...that's more like a slap in the face!

In my opinion, i think everyone should just chill. I'm just as frustrated with the wait as anyone, but my conversations with them via PM and other forums suggests that, put simply, there are parts of their production process where they are at the mercy of other companies to complete. It is what it is. If it could have been done faster with the same quality they would have done it already. If you don't have patience then get something else. If you do have patience...then wait.

agree, I too have AMS's intake/uicp/fmic/test pipe/exhaust & my EcuTek reflash through them, I could have said f$#K it and went with any of the many DP's that are out but i know AMS products are proven and are of the up most quality so im waiting for it.
