No offense to your single exhaust system, but this is what the "masses" expect from AMS!! Awesome!

I might say it looks nice and probably functions very well indeed. However, I am skeptical that it will reallly make the same power across all different plates. I can see the power not being affected if the exhaust is the only mod on the car and still on the stock turbo, etc....

But I have a hard time believing that the same power level will be achieved using the OPEN plate vs the CLOSED plate at the 500whp level. There HAS to be some let off using the CLOSED plate. There are 90 degree bends in the exhaust...and that's always restrictive, especially as you up the power.

So, just curious on your thoughts on the design as the power starts to increase. Call me a skeptic....

Obviously as you get to higher airflow levels the power will start to suffer with the straight pipe blocked.

I was hoping you guys would make it into a Y split in the middle.
At wot most likely you will see more fumes out of the right exhaust side.

You guys should do the Y split
I would take the single exhaust yu guys made first

that pretty funny it was all the same exhaust LOL good one

To take this a step further, you could do a push button exhaust opening like the QTP downpipe for the VIII and IX. I push a button and it turns the car from stock sound to race car.

I'll be honest, I like the look of dual exhaust but would not take a loss of power for it. Just try to offer something along the lines of this sometime in the future.

Mabye even a bullet muffler (or 2) in there, if you need to. If you are really intrested in the "tunable exhaust" idea, go check out how the "tunable exhaust" optioned worked on the mid 1990's 3000gt SL/VR-4's.

Which setup is close to stock sound? I like my exhaust Quiet for daily driving, but yeilds power gains accross the powerband.

Thanks
