this is a great idea but i think from your design it was more of a necessity than an option seeing as the passenger side pipe doesnt run through the muffler itself and without an internal baffle would sounds somewhat hideous along the lines of a true open exhaust without muffler or resonator. goo idea none the less to provide options for the end user.

Sorry but that seems like a rice mod to me.

Tunable exhaust sound with a mostly non-functional exhaust tip.

Why? All of the other parts you guys made so far have been very nice looking and even a lot better than some other vendors postings...

but I guess if it sales...

Again this is not something that we are necessarily going to produce but this is not Rice. to allot of people the way an exhaust sounds is very important. With this system you can make it quiet with you want and loud when you want.

The tips are not finalized. If you think they should look different please give us some of your opinions. that is the entire reason behind this thread.

Wow guys this looks like a nice piece! I'm a fan of running open downpipe! Did it for almost 2 years. Some (a lot) of people complain and say it's too loud, but I'm the type of person that would rather hear a good exhaust note than a radio on any given day! Keep up the good work guys! and sell this system with that 3" turn down unit to put on the pass side so it can dump!

How bout round tips, instead of the ovals? With the AMS logo burn into them?

Threw us a curveball! ...you cheeky monkeys!

I love the idea, and I think the power output and weight of this system is only second to the single tip. I love the idea of how this is put together.

Great work guys!

Maybe even a bullet muffler (or 2) in there, if you need to. If you are really interested in the "tunable exhaust" idea, go check out how the "tunable exhaust" optioned worked on the mid 1990's 3000gt SL/VR-4's.

AutoMotoSports

Just have two little mufflers and it should look good from the rear.

Things to change:

-Make it a Y shape like Jameson_IXMR showed^
-Would have less bends
-Have simple straight pipes to replace mufflers to make it tunable (cheap and easy to thow in)
-Make the system more symmetrical (It would look crappy to have smoke coming out the exhaust unequaly)
-Have oval tips thats are straight cut instead of rolled
-Maybe have burnt tips?

I love to idea of tunable but it will be hard to implement in a dual tip system w/o a simple cutout involved like back in the day.

Kinda like this:

Oval tips. Forget the burnt or 4" tips. They look just ricey.
