since when do basic physics equal theories? do you guys even read? i said this is basic principles they teach in any efi 101 class. how do you think i learned that? just cause i'm not a vendor on this site doesn't mean i don't make a living tuning and building motors!

if you guys want to understand more check a book called "Maximum Boost" by Corkey Bell. it'll teach alot of fundamentals of an f/i efi system and cover all the info you'd ever care to understand about blow off valves.

anyway, i'm done. if anyone has any question just pm me. i'll be glad to do my best to answer them.

lol... seriously "kid" i'd stop while you're ahead. You've obviously done your "research" by forum reading and absorbing it like a sponge. If you read my statements, i wasn't being HKS biased. In fact i've used almost every single BOV/Bypass valve out there. On a street car to a race car. No, its not THE best thing out there... but it works just fine and in fact up to very high boost. Its design (pull type) actually makes it seal better when there is more pressure applied to it. If anything it may be harder for it to open at higher boost, thus causing surge... but i would stop w/ the "leaking" comments. The TIAL works the best so far from what i've seen, but even those i've had issues w/ the spring was too tight etc. Get over the STOCK bypass valve. YES its a great piece for STOCK.. but it DOES have its limits. Try boosting past 24-25psi w/ that thing and you'll see what i mean. Oh wait... you have no real world experience w/ any of this... let me correct myself... go read some more forum threads so you can sound like you know something from other people's experiences... lol...

I'd rather have a faster car and save money then have some F&F sound and a car that runs incorrectly.

Did you REALLY just say all of that? oh so now we're talking about ignition timing? lol... *gimme a second my stomach is cramping...

Ok, whew... man good one.

ok, so now your are bringing up that some evo's tend to knock during shifts (yeah i think i read those threads too) lol... You, know if you run "RICH" during a shift due to a "BOV" wouldnt it HELP w/ your knock issue during a shift?? Here's a clue... when you lift, the motor goes leaner and timing goes through the roof when it becomes a vacuum cleaner...

I'm sorry... im usually very nice.... but i just can't stand it when people try to come off like an "expert" when they obviously stole bits & pieces of info from the internet and now giving ADVISE? seriously... I bet you could also tell some poor misguided fellow how to build a 9 sec Evo by reading Buschur's threads eh?

Sorry to bump this, but is a HKS BOV ok for the car so long as it's recirculated?

Also, can someone please give me a link to a video that shows how the HKS sounds recirculated?

I want that chirping noise, but if VTA(which some say works fine, but I'm not going to risk it) is the only way to get it then I'll pass.

Yes, the HKS BOV is ok if you recirculate.

Also, if you interested in noise, run an open element air filter and you'll hear more noise, even from your stock DV and wont have the problems of running VTA.

Yeah I decided against the HKS. Too much debate and I don't feel like risking a $30k car.
