I haven't seen or heard of this thread, just came across it.

I don't take offense to the starter of the thread.

The exhaust is installed correctly. It fits exactly like I intended it to. It is the lightest dual exit exhaust there is, has great sound and looks awesome from the rear, just like I wanted it to.

The muffler is just under 6" around, the tubing is 3" that goes through it. That leaves 1.5" for sound deadening inside the muffler. I can't make it smaller nor can I find a muffler that has less thickness to it. I also cannot build a product I am happy with moving the muffler somewhere else.

We have driven our EVOX all over from the Eastern PA border to Kentucky and to Indy. It has never hit even with 3 people in the car and our EVOX is lowered running a Robi Spec KW suspension.

I don't have an excuse or a solution. I am also not trying to sound like I don't care but I am SO happy with this exhaust and so are others who have bought it I am also not looking to try to re-design it.

There is no room to move the muffler up because of the driveshaft. I refuse to use two mufflers in the back, it's ugly, it's heavy and it won't perform as well.

Sorry to hear yours hits on speed bumps. The speed bumps are overly large though, we have two large trailer parks here, they have multiple speed bumps throughout them, I have never hit with our lowered EVOX.

thanks david, i figured you knew about the clearance and it was designed that way. As i said, i am satisfied with the exhaust and am giving a heads up to everyone.... I will say the speed bumps aren't overly large, i don't feel its necessary to take a picture of them but they are standard asphalt speed bumps.

Thanks for the reply I do appreciate having vendors that are willing to post and defend their products...

I look forward to the release of your next product you hinted at in your other post.

On a forum where the vendors pay the bills you will never be greeted well if you have a complaint.

Ground clearance would’ve been on the obvious list for development of an exhaust that wasn’t meant for race only cars for any manufacturer of a product that was worth buying. I guess money was more important in this case.

Oh BTW that post about ground clearance from Buschur should've been apart of the announcement of the product if it was far less than stock. I guess that's the consumer advocate in me, sorry.

There are a lot of factors to consider when designing an exhaust system. And every exhaust is a compromise between power and comfort. We all know that Buschur’s products lean towards the side of power rather than anything else. Buschur products are intended to make power, plan and simple. I believe that David obviously tries to make them look nice, fit well, sound good, etc... but all that comes after power. There are other exhausts on the market that probably provide more ground clearance, but chances are they are heavier and will make less power.

I'm sure that if David could easily revise this issue to give more ground clearance he would. But chances are that to do so, he would have to sacrifice other elements of the design.
