Can Jay or someone please tell me which mount flange style these new Garrett TS GT3071R/GT3076R turbos have .

Or can someone with a pic of a std Evo 10 turbo or manifold flange post it please .

Cheers Adrian .

It is basically a mirror image of the EVO9 flange, the same gasket even works on both if you flip it over.

I had hoped it was going to be a twin entry T3 flange but I guess that was too much to hope for .

Cheers A .

Will the trans need to be rebuilt for this?

Well... wouldn't be much of a direct bolt-on if it had a T3 flange

Well at the time I didn't know what footprint the Evolution 10's exhaust manifold had .

It would be a huge leg up for the aftermarket if Garrett decided to offer twin scroll twin integral wastegate turbine housings for the GT30 and GT35 turbine based ball bearing turbos .

I'll be really bold and state that high flowing turbine housings are all that the GT3071R/GT3076R/GT3582R turbos are lacking - by that I mean high flowing housings that don't incur the turbine lag that large single scroll ones do .

Blind freddy can see that not everyone wants external gates on road cars and twin scroll twin integral gate housings solve both issues .

If you ever get to see truck spec GT35 turbos ie GT3571/GT3576/GT3582 you'll see large A/R housings on them and they're not real laggy in that form .

The petrol spec ones are small by comparison and only T3 flanged single scroll .
Personally I think Garret tried to hard to keep their turbine housing compact , the advent of their new TS Evo 10 housing shows that they know about the problem and how to fix it .

IMO the GT3076R should be the end of the road for the T3/twin T3 (Euro T4) footprint and really the GT35 UHP turbine shoud be the start of the larger BB frame cartridges (like it is in the plain bearing GT35 range) and with TS T4 flanged turbine housings .

Anyway you've all seen what can be done with Mitsy TS TIWg housings in various high flowed forms , one from Garrett should prove very very interesting and if they designed their housing properly I think the 0.94 one will make some of the current dyno queen turbos look very very sick by comparison .

Thats the difference you get when you design something with a clean sheet rather than trying to alter something possibly beyond its design parameters .
In the near future we're going to find out if integral gates are as rat****e as many believe them to be and there may be few red faces .....

In time , cheers A .

$2599.00 is what I heard for a complete bolt on kit, whatever "complete" entails I do not know.

hummmmmm. It sounds to me like to 30r kit is better for top end, but for 1799 you can get similar power lower down in the rev range with the red. Is that right?

I like how they pointed out that Cali residents will "eat this up". Definately will be able to fool anyone doing an inspection under the hood due to retaining the factory heat-shield.
