ETS 4" IC with piping, ETS Intake and more to come

Hi,

Just wanted to share my experience with ETS products.
I have just received the parts today and i started to install everything at about 12. first i took off all the stock parts and then i started by installing the IC, pipes and finaly intake.
At 3 i was done intalling everything and during my final inspection to make sure all the bolts and clamps were tight i noticed that i'd lost the small clip for the oil breather hose.
It took me about an hour to find it because i had to remove all the intake pipes to make sure it didn't fall into the turbo inlet. Fortunaly with some patience i found it next to the hard brake lines.
Finaly it took me 4 hours to do everything. The fitment was perfect, the new intake shield is top notch and the overall look is great.
On the road my wife said textually "stop it, that's weird, now i'm afraid when you accelerate." All i can say is she's right, now the power kicks in way more violently from 3000 rpm.
More to come are:
-Full TBE exhaust from ETS, (In fact i already ordered it with a custom made O2 housing/downpipe but they've just released the new dual exit catback which looks amazing and not too loud even without the mid pipe resonator.
I think i'm gonna ask more info about it to michael.)
-HKS EVC EBC.
-Forge WGA

I would like to achieve about 350 WHP.
What do you think?

Sorry for the long post and my ****t* english.

Hi switchblade, mine works great too and i'm very happy with the results...my wife is not hehehe now she's scared.

I wanted to go for the 3" but since here in Tahiti the weather is really hot and humid i believe the 4" will never see any heat soak even at 400 whp.

I really like your setup (in your sig) we are going to have about the same stuffs.

Jonathan,

The installed turned out great! Wait tell you get the exhaust system installed, it seems to really bring the car to life. If you check in our section, I posted up a couple videos doing a drive by. The exhaust in the video is not resonated, but I can tell you the DB's are still very low, I will post official results on Monday!

Do you have any pictures of the whole car?

Thanks!

Michael

Quite literallly a direct drop in. I had some issues trying to get it between the crash bar and the AC heat sync, but if you jack the car up about 3-4 inches in the front, you should be fine. I got it done, but it was a pain without getting stuff out of the way. Very nice piece by the way.

You'll want to go the how-to section and find the front bumper removal write up, it's very helpful and points out every bolt you'll need to get off of that thing. Just try to remember where your different clips+bolts go. Labeling baggies really helps.

Good luck with your install!

Hi,

I'm sorry i didn't answer before to your questions but i was really busy.
About the 4" IC, it fits perfectly if you jack the car just as rogue said and it's even easier to have the plastics bottom panels out. Since the 4" is really tight between the crash bar and condenser i advice to let the cartons panels in both side when installing and then take them off once everything is done. It will prevent from scratching the IC or condenser fins.

This is the thread i've used for bumper removal, thank you mksevo.

Why does the IC sit a bit low on the passenger side? It is slanted. Is this an installation problem or a manufacturing problem. Seen this with the 3.5" as well. Do all aftermarket IC's not sit perfectly horizontal?

Geo! what's going on man..i haven't bothered you in a while lol... I'll be calling you soon for the downpipe and test pipe. As for the intercooler being a lil lower on one side, i have no idea why its like that, everything is bolted on the way it should be.. the quality of the pipes and the intercooler itself is top notch! I already recommended it to all my friends at TriStateEvo's.
