What do you do if the plugs are fouled up? Brush them off or replace them?

I am very curious about switching plugs to nology silvers. Has anyone got any experience with these? Silver is supposed to be the best conductor of electricity and heat, and are similarly priced to iridium. They don't currently make one for the X, but they do make them for previous gen evos. Anyone know if they are the same size?

The 10 plugs are not $10. They are not the "cheaper" coppers like we can use in the 8.

They are NGK - ILKR8E6 and are around $14/each.
I'm confused. NGK doesn't recognize this part number on their website, and lists nothing for the EVO X yet. Where did you get this information from?

Pulling the plug out of the 10 and writing down the number. I also have a couple boxes of them from mitsubishi on my desk.

Ahh, good to know. Just out of curiosity, are the plugs in the X the same size as the ones in previous gens? There are a set of nology silvers for the previous gen evo that I would like to use if they are the same gap, thread pitch, etc. Any info would be great, thanks.

Silver is a the best conductor for electricity but a very low melting point .. once it's silver alloy its conductivity becomes worse than normal .. If you look at silver plugs, you'll notice the cores are similar to copper .. they can't be needle-like as platiniums or iridiums ..

In the case of plugs.. conductivity has very little to do with spark advantage .. since the arcing is across 'air' .. so the smaller and thinner you can make the conducting core, the easier it is for electricity to arc across to the groundstrap ..

Thanks for the site !! .. think I'll buy the plugs by the cartons

Or just get the wire type plugs from ralliart
