Decent spark plugs replacement
I recently purchsed some bosch super spark plugs to replace my stock plugs. Every since I have put those in my rpms and my idle have been wacked. I had them gapped at .40 and .41 and it just messes with my rpms really badly and more at .41 then .40. I did remove my battery cable but just slid it up and off so not sure if im not getting a good connection. Looking for plugs that I can buy local and not spend a ton of money.
Thanks.
Thanks.
NGK iridium IV's ....i swear by them...they fowl up like crazy but they are worth the money..i also heard that the bosch platnium's are crap...don't spend your time or money on those....but like slovak said, plugs don't make you faster...better fuel economy, cleaner start, but not speed...on the other hand i beg to differ on the 100k mile statement. my NGK's were the best the shop could offer and they only came with a 50k warranty....my stock plugs were gone when i bought the car at 39k....just my opinion.
I race on NGK copper plugs. Just the basic NGK plug. I check them every oil change and several times between and change them at least every other oil change. They're $10, no gimmicks and they'd probably last 20K but again, I race on them, use 92 octane and have my timing advanced so they take more of a beating than they would if I'd left well enough alone

Oh lord. Here we go again.
Walk into Autozone. Ask for plugs for your car. They'll have the recommended plugs in their computer. They'll probably give you a nice set of NGK plugs for like $5 and they'll work great.

puts a certain plug in there to get the best margin of longevity and spark power because the average Joe Lancer owner doesn't want to think about changing oil on their own, let alone replacing plugs. NGK coppers provide the most powerful spark, but only last about 20k and they are cheap as hell. $13 shipped for a set. Hands down the best plugs to get in my opinion.
