Works modified stock exhaust

I plan on doing some light mods to my X. Light mods, and without the noise + attention..
Looking at Work's website. I saw their modified stock exhaust, and like the details written about it. Stock looks, some power gains, quiet, and in-expensive..
So does anyone have the Work's setup? If so, I would like to hear your feedbacks on it... Thanks

WM

Works is only 2 hours from where I live. I think I will make a trip down there after the break in period. Thanks for your feedback..

I have a Works AB on my IX sometimes (I don't always want the attention) and their stuff is usually heavy but well built. The guy Paul or Pete or Jamie or something like that installed it to let me hear how it would sound before I bought it, which was pretty cool of him.

It also must be nice to live near their shop. I plan on driving there early morning, and spend the whole day there.

If you have access to a cutter and welder, you can remove the valve in the exhaust box .. it allows for slightly better flow for a slightly (very slight) increase in NVH

I believe the effects are similar to what the stealth has ..

Its nice if you don't intend to go bigger turbo, high boost (>18psi) or higher than stock rev limit .. you should be ok..

You may want to consider have a test pipe too .. thats the major PITA in the exhaust flow ..

I plan on doing alot when I go there. The stealth exhaust, test pipe, drop in filter + dyno tune. And last , add one of their suspension packages. I hope they can do all that in a day though..

I'll try to get a clip for you this week after I get mine installed today. I was really iffy on buying it. Seemed like a waste of money.

I recently put their stealth muffler on my 2005 VIII. Slightly louder at idle, and once cruising I noticed no difference. I gained a little in spool and it held power better on the top end. They were small gains, but they also advertise as such; small gains in power/spool for minimal gain in noise while still looking stock.

that's the axel-back right? I think the OP was asking about the stealth-exhaust (which basically is a gutted stock muffler). I've been thinking about this as well, but hate to pay $100 in shipping ($50 both ways).
