HFC or test pipe in stealth mode
Anyone came across a HFC or test pipe which externally, looks exactly or is a direct replica of the stock cat?
Our law here forbid any aftermarket cat hence if the above is available, it will be great...

I planned to keep the stock cat for our annual vehicle inspection by the authority and when I need to sell my car. Also I think knocking out the element isn't the best and cleaniest way.
You could always by a stock cat from someone and knock it out thus saving your cat for inspections.
most all the HFC look alike and have the small catalyst. As far as test pipes go the best option would be to get a resonated one and maybe it would fool an inspector....

Most people keep their stock exhaust systems laying around so that when it comes time for smog/inspection... they re-install the stock and pass the tests. Then when its not testing time, swap it out to the higher power, cleaner flowing and better sounding exhaust system!
How about buying an aftermarket exhaust with a high-flow cat and doing the right thing for the environment? So, you're sacrificing a few HP keeping the cat. As a former WRX owner I'm new to EVOs, but the mantra of most STI/WRX owners is "keep your cat and get your HP elsewhere".
