I installed mine over the weekend as well. It does sound very good, not annoying at all. Not sure if anyone else who installed this exhaust has seen something similar, but my muffler on my driver side seem to hang a hair lower than the one on the passenger side. Will be checking everything again this weekend and hopefully find a solution. Any thoughts?

I just installed mine yesterday. Both sides hang perfeectly even. Did you make sure to flip the muffler grommets around before inserting the muffler's hangers into the grommets. If you left the the hanger grommets the same orientation that was holding the OEM muffler, then your exhaust will be hitting the top of the bumper and will be at a weird angle. Also, I am assuming you removed the tow hook from the driver side too?

IMO it doesn't hang low. The pipes are held pretty close to the chassis. The canisters are held at a good angle and not really sagging.

Did you remember to rotate those rubber hangers for the mufflers by 180º as shown in my crappy picture I drew. If you didn't, you would of had a harder time installing the muffler's to the mid pipe, they would of been hanging at a slightly goofy angle, and it would of hanged a little lower than usual.

The HKS installation instruction didn't say anything about rotating them but I'm pretty sure you have to because the difference in difficulty in installing the muffler to the mid pipe was the difference of using a clamp to close the gap between the muffler and mid pipe in order to install a bolt vs if you did rotate them rubber hangers, it was a perfect fit and alignment and the bolts just slip right in with no problems or wiggling of any of the exhaust pieces to align.

Everyone has their side of the story when viewing a picture. Point and case I've taken a picture of the exhaust in 2 positions with one taken lower than the other while the other is higher than the other. This way you be the judge if it's a sagger LOL. I've grown to love the way it sits now and it has a nice angle to it. It's definitely not a straight exhaust exit, it has a very slight bend to it like the classic single exhaust systems.

The noise that comes off of this is like sex on a beach during a sunset. It's so damn sexy and it puts a smile in my face and in my pants each time I give it more gas than driving it Eco-mode. If I had to rate this exhaust I give it a 10/10 because it stays true to the HKS line of exhaust. Deep, Mean, Large and I do mean large I can freaking out my fist inside the tips, and lets everyone know to get the *** out of the way when your on the throttle.

As for droning there isn't any droning during highway speeds from what I have experiencing from driving this entire week. Between 60-75mph the tones are drivable, at 75-100mph the baby pures. At 100-135mph, it surely sounds trackable in terms of exhaust note you hear all the time from those race tuned cars at the track. When you let off the gas completely during any gear, (I don't know if this is consider droning), but between 3250-2500 rpm the car make a very very deep exhaust note that sounds like a V8 sitting next to you. It sounds sick and I'm sure everyone can hear you when you do that, so pimp. It makes rolling to a stop badass.

Improvement in throttle response???? Definitely a lot faster and smoother from Mid to Top end. Roughly 3800-6500 rpm.

Can it set off car alarms? Yes it can, I keep setting of this Caravan that is parked down my block everyday when I come home from work. And this was only a 2500 rpm pass on 2nd gear. Also I love how I can do an entire indoor parking lot full of car alarms. Note to people in Cali, if you want something stealth look away from this exhaust, or maybe wait for the Silent Hi-Power retailed for $1199 full Stainless Steel system.

Exhaust vids to come when I can get a hole of a good camera or camcorder that can record good quality sound. I hate people that does cell phone vids with choppy sound, I'll for sure won't do the same.
Pics were taken on Sony Ericson Xperia X1 cell phone.

Here's what I have done with mine.. fit just the way I love it.. but I would recommend to have heat shield for this fitting as it sits very much closer to the diffuser.

hmm, looks good, mine will be in next week.

edit: hmm, after further viewing, looks like luthor's is definitely closer to the press photo of this exhaust. unfortunately i don't have any heat shields at the moment.

Yup Luther is the man. I'm going to fix my mufflers once Derek sends me a pair of Rexpeed heat shields. I checked my orientation of the rubber hangers and they are exactly the way Luther has them, it's just that I'm off by one hole. I mounted to the wrong hole and if i switch to his hole it should no longer sag. Will update my pics later when I get my heat shields.

double checked my hangers today and were fine. for me, there was a bit of play at the center pipe to muffler connections. i loosened the bolts and rotated the muffler to get it evened out. thanx for the pix, Dex.
