I got home last night and I popped my hood to let it cool faster so i could clean up a bit. Well, i heard a kind of sizzling noise towards the front passenger side of the engine bay. I investigated and found there was coolant on splash guard but couldnt find where it was coming from. Well i got to work this morning popped the hood and the same thing. This time there's also a noticeable loss in my coolant tank. I've lost probably about 1/4 of the coolant. Anyone know if there are any common places that are leaking? Also if i had to take it in it should be covered by the warranty right? I have 5k miles and a few mods... intake exhaust fmic and pipes, but those should have nothing to do with the radiator right?

 

It could be a nick in a coolant line but at 5k miles they should cover it assuming it isn't related to the mods done. Hopefully it's nothing serious like a leaking head gasket, report back when you find out what was causing it.

 

The dealer where I bought My car dont accept any mods not even a dam drop in filter. They said any thing done to the evo would void it. So if I have to take mine in for work I will have to remove the parts first

 

Well, im not even sure if it's coolant. I think it is but not 100%. what's the fluid container thats behind the coolant container on the left side of the engine bay? The leak is coming from the bottom half of the car in between the engine and the radiator a little ways in front of the pulleys. I havent been able to pull off the splash guard to look at it yet but any ideas? What's that other fluid for?

 

mine is at 5k miles as well and this morning when i pop up the hood i noticed that there were like whitish greenish thing just underneath the radiator cap and some on surrounding areas. i also noticed the coolant being 1/4 less than the last time i saw it.
