MR transmission, REV limiter

I dont mean to restart an old topic, but the few threads i found on this are kinda getting out of date, going back 4-5 months now

So i recently did some more modding to my MR, and got it dyno tuned, before this i sometimes hit the rev limiter in AUTO mode, sport and S sport too, low gears only, 1st and 2nd

its still happening, even a littler easier now, only at WOT

anyone know how to make the tranny relearn? im thinking that might help some? or has anyone figured out how to make the tranny react faster? any kinda reflashing/tuning that can fix this a tad?

and another thing, i can be at a complete dead stop, floor it in any mode, and get it to hit the limiter, it doesnt just come from down shifts, its not all the time either, but ide rather it not happen, or really rarely happen

That's weird, My car never seems to hit the rev limiter in auto mode, what are your mods?

innercooler+upper and lower pipes
intake
downpipe
testpipe
catback
(all AMS stuff)

im at 348whp after being dyno tuned with all these mods

im reading in other threads that the tranny just needs alot of time to learn...

what would force a complete relearn from scratch? im thinking that might be the best idea

it drives perfect in manual (normal sport or S-sport)

also somthing els im getting, seems to be less now then on the day of the dyno tune and the drive home, but very very low rpm shifts i get a little compressor surge, it might have been happening before, just now since my intake is a cone i can hear it

is surge a problem if its the smallest ammounts of boost? im talking upshifts under 3k under feather throttle

it really seems like these problems are getting better as i drive it, BUT the tranny is STILL not wanting to shift at redline in auto mode

The bouncing of rev limiter is a known issue after flashing...but it shouldn't take THAT many times to learn. I think mine bounced in 1st and 2nd maybe...hrm 3-4 times total, (each time less), after I flashed. After that, it learned...doesn't do it anymore in any mode.

I believe the tranny will learn everything on its on. It just takes a bit of time, to get used to your style of driving.

negative^ not shift points. if your going to beat on it, drive only in s-sport manual mode. your putting way more stress on those clutches in auto mode because it is always trying to anticipate your next move, instead of just reacting to what you tell it to do.

you'll bounce off rev limiter in 1st and 2nd after a tune ..

What you experienced is not surge as mentioned .. it's the shift points.. The tranny will learn the shift points after a while ..

You're doing the right thing the more you beat on it the faster it learn ..

Only problem is the part throttle learning takes quite a while ..
