AMS or Buschur????
I no this has been talked about but I'm I need of help & I need to pick one because I am ordering the kit asap.I do not know what is better the ams intercooler set meaning upper lowwer & core or the buschur now the ams is a 3.6" & the buschur is a 4.5" if I'm lookinf to go 400 plus whp what is the better system for m to get???can people tell me how they liked theres
This thread is going to get locked. Do your research and make a decision based on your findings. Everyone has their own opinions on who you should go with, but in the end, its your decision. Both shops have top notch parts and services.
I knew that was coming. OP, just do some research. As mentioned, both are fine units and it comes down to personal preference. Both will get you to 400whp. Hell, the stocker will get you there. Its a matter of efficiency and consistency. Consider price, inventory status, fitment, quality, performance, etc. If you plan on being around here for the long haul I would suggest you learn how to research and ask the right questions because I doubt this will be the first product that you aren't a subject matter expert on. Good luck.

One of the key factors when looking for an intercooler is going to be the surface area exposed. You will see some companies have a thicker intercooler, but the surface area is much smaller. It doesn't do any good to have the end tanks exposed, when you can have intercooler core exposed by using a wide core. If you plan on making 500-600, I would recommend a 4.0" intercooler for sure. The good thing about most 4.0" intercooler cores is they will fit behind the stock bumper beam with no cutting. This is good for warranty and crash protection, since the car looks like a daily driver.
Something to note: The opening on the evolution x bumper is right around 20" wide.
Good luck on your search! If you have any other questions, ask away!
Thanks,
Michael
