AMS is doing some work with the RA's and I believe they recommend waiting until 1,000 miles or better before getting the pill and flash.

I don't know that you'll find a definitive answer to this, but waiting one or two thousand miles will definitely not hurt and is probably your best bet. PM a few of the tuners on here and see what they recommend.

I sent a tuner and they actually have yet to reply, but I'm getting some great responses here and was wrong about thinking it was ok to get a tune anytime after break in.

I talked with a tuner in SoCal on Thursday and was told I needed at least a 1,000 miles before they would tune it.

Of course you can get it tuned whenever... But Im pretty pretty sure theres a recomended wait time(reaching X amount of miles) to do this. Thanks to everyone posting I think I may wait till I have at least a couple thousand miles.

I would say after the factory recommended break in. I'm just under 700 miles now and am seriously looking at a cobb ap stage 1 reflash. I changed my oil out at 600 miles and it had a lot of fuel in the oil which is due to the rich nature of the factory map, it was a lot less viscous than the new 5w30 i poured in. The stage 1 reflash should help lean it out a little but more importantly, less fuel in the oil means the oil can do its job better of protecting the motor. But back on topic, I would definitely wait at least until after break in.
