Agency Power BOV

Just installed an Agency Power BOV, that came without any instructions and have a few questions:

1. I took off the stock recirc BOV and replaced it with a new AP BOV, it just hangs at the end of the blow-off valve return line since it's blowing out to the atmosphere, is that correct? It's ony connected on the end and not supported, am I missing something?

2. How much do you tighten down the adjustment knob? Is there a specific amount you tighten/loosen it? What does adjusting it do?

3. On the bottom there is a knurled knob, what is it for?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Went to the AP website (should have gone there first) where they had a how to install and answered almost all my questions. I'm still not certain how to adjust the BOV for optimum performance when discharging to the atmosphere. This unit has three (3) settings - recirc, 50/50 or 100% atmospheric discharge; which one is best?

recirc FTW, 50/50 or 100 discharge if you wanna show off
+ with atmospheric discharge you will see your RPM needle playing while on idle, mostly after driving

Piece of cake, 10 minutes start to finish!
Undo 2 hoses and vacuum line, insert plug (for atmospheric discharge) in 1 hose and attach BOV to the other.

Check out this link for installation: http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/...tion-i-16.html

So let me ask you this, did I just waste $250 by replacing the stock BOV if I connect it as a recirc BOV instead of using the 50/50 or 100% discharge?

Also, if I get a tune, will that adjust my fuel mixture for the 100% discharge? I've been reading that if you go from recirc to 100%, that when you let off the gas the ECU will compensate for that second and pump in more gas to try and adjust.

Junk. I'd toss the stock diverter valve back on if I was you. Give the car a few thousand miles when the oil blow-by and dust/dirt from running vta gunks up that bov. Hopefully you're running a conservative tune so when the bov sticks open and lets all the boost out, you don't blow your motor. lol. Yeah, it's junk. Ask me how I know.

Why do you think you need to upgrade the stock diverter valve? Do you think this mod makes power?

The stock diverter valve is better than this aftermarket bov up to A LOT of hp. The whole whoosh sound is for entertainment only. Like someone has said before...if you gotta have the sound, run an open air filter element and get rid of the box.
