How does an MR sound with an intake?

We all know with an open filter intake the BOV is more noticeable and pronounced. You can hear this sound on the manual transmission Evo X's since the drive needs to release the throttle to shift. This question is for all the MR owners with an open air intake. What does it sound like? Do you still get the BOV sound since we don't let off the gas? Videos and sound clips would be appreciated.

this is just an educated guess, but i would say yes, as it does let off the throttle automatically.

I would agree. I just wondered if anyone had any sound clips. But the MR does close the throttle to shift up and it blips the throttle on down shifts.

Do you have an intake on your MR? Any vids or sound clips will be appreciated.

I have the ARC airbox. The "sucking in" noise is much more pronounced with the box. The stock bypass valve was a little more audible, but again, only when you let off the throttle. I have since switched to the Turbosmart dual port and do 50/50.

Search turbosmart Evo X on youtube for an install/sound clip of their dual port.

I have the ETS intake and the suction noise is very noticable. I love it. And yes you do hear the bypass when you let off the throttle.

A little out of topic.
Well I don't have an intake on my MR, but I did get the Cobb AP and flashed the stg 1 (stock) and the BOV was alot louder. Granted it only really does it when letting of the gas, though it happens occasionally when suddenly going WOT.

This is most likely because the Stage 1 map increases the stock boost. More pressure = louder release of air into the intake/airbox.
