The weighted shift knob makes the car shift smooth as butter.

I could not believe it either. This has got to be hands down the best bang for the buck for the GSR, especially if its your daily driver.

Do you have one of TWM's weighted shift knobs yet? Your Evo will shift even better with one !




IMO the stock shift knob is simply too light for the cable shift arrangment on the Evo X.

Is the weighted shift knob simply a heavier metal shift knob? Perhaps clamping some weights to the shifter itself inside the boot will achieve the same result. (And be adjustable!)

Yes.

Perhaps clamping some weights to the shifter itself inside the boot will achieve the same result. (And be adjustable!)

Slightly off-topic:

Anyone know if the shift cables are adjustable? Stock shifter seems to have some play side to side...wanted to adjust like the old DSM days.

Ordered mine yesterday, need order redline shift boot but i guess i have to wait to see how it turn out with stock shift boot.
